Two-Piece is a musical ensemble consisting of two members, functioning as a duo. The term "two-piece band" refers to a musical group with this minimal configuration. In the broader context of music, the designation "two-piece" has been applied to various compositions throughout history. Notable examples include "Two Pieces", a song featured on Demi Lovato's 2013 album Demi, as well as several classical piano compositions by John Ireland from the early twentieth century, including works from 1921, 1925, and 1929-30. Additionally, composer Guy Ropartz created "Two Pieces for Wind Quintet" in 1924. The term has also been used to describe other artistic works beyond music, including sculptures such as Henry Moore's bronze pieces from the mid to late twentieth century. As a musical ensemble format, the two-piece band represents a streamlined approach to group performance.
