Two Witnesses

Two Witnesses is a musical project named after biblical figures mentioned in Revelation 11:1-14. The two witnesses referenced in Christian scripture have been interpreted in various ways throughout history. Some Christians view them as two literal prophets, including interpretations such as Moses and Elijah or Saint Peter and Saint Paul. Other theological traditions understand them as symbolic representations of groups, whether the Christian church as a single entity or the Jews and Christians as two distinct groups. Additionally, some scholars interpret the two witnesses as symbols representing two concepts, such as the Torah and Nevi'im or the Old Testament and New Testament. The earliest recorded interpretation identifies the two witnesses as Enoch and Elijah, based on the scriptural account that these were the only two figures who did not experience death as appointed to humans. This foundational interpretation was first unambiguously presented by Hippolytus of Rome.
