Verboten

About

Verboten refers to more than one artist in music history. The first was a Swedish industrial band that was active from approximately 1983 to 1986. During their time together, they released split records with artists including Lille Roger and Tabu, and their work appeared on several compilation albums. The second artist bearing this name was a punk band from Chicago that was active around 1983, with the band name occasionally spelled as Verböten. Both acts emerged during the early 1980s and contributed to their respective underground music scenes during that era.
