Veruca Salt

Founded in Chicago in 1992, Veruca Salt is an American alternative rock band that emerged from the work of vocalist-guitarists Nina Gordon and Louise Post, along with drummer Jim Shapiro and bassist Steve Lack. The band gained widespread recognition with their first single, "Seether," released on their 1994 debut album American Thighs. This initial success was followed by the 1997 album Eight Arms to Hold You. By 1998, Post became the sole remaining original member and continued leading the band with new musicians. The group released Resolver in 2000 and IV in 2006 before taking a hiatus in 2012. The band reunited with its original lineup and went on to release their fifth studio album, Ghost Notes, in 2015.
