Additionally, Zao appears as an evil North Korean military officer in the James Bond film Die Another Day. Beyond entertainment, Zao refers to geographical locations in Japan, including Mount Zaō, a mountain in northern Japan, the town of Zaō in Miyagi Prefecture, and Zaō Station, a JR East railway station located in Yamagata Prefecture.
